Just found this site and am slowly reading all of the stories. The care you have taken to put this together is evident, and appreciated.

I did many things to make a living, mostly related to the construction industry. When I retired I was selling construction materials for the Calportland Company.

I moved to Chiang Mai, Thailand in 2009, and married a local lady. What a gift it is to still be alive, and living in such a wonderful land.
School Story

I was a student at CVHS only for senior year (1963), having transferred from San Pedro High School. Unfortunately I did not develop the strong friendships that any of you describe so well. The crew I ran with was low in the pecking order. I haven't been back to the area since 1964. Lived in Seattle for 42 years.

Left the USA in 2009. Easy enough to stay in touch this way.

Duane was a great guy. No airs about him whatsoever. He was a friend when I needed one, badly. He and I decided to sign up to go into the USAF on the "Buddy Plan," after hearing all the spiels on that fateful day when they herded all of the senior boys into the gym and heard all the pretty lies from the various recruiters. We rode the bus to the induction center in LA the weekend we graduated. I got rejected, for a transient and very slight physical condition, but he got in, and made a career of it. He looked me up on the net a few years ago and we exchanged some emails.

R.I.P. Old Friend.
